Interior Painting

Few things are more reflective of your personal style and taste than the interior of your home.  Whether sedate, elegant, and classic, or creative and fun-loving, your interior paint should reflect your personality.

Many people will try to DIY an interior painting job.  Not a good idea.  Though it may seem an easy task to slap down some plastic (assuming you remember that step) and roll some paint on, your results are likely to come out less than you dreamed of.

A quality interior painting job requires planning.  There is actually more involved in preparation than the actual paint job itself!

The Veteran’s Painting Plus Process

At Veteran’s Painting Plus, we prepare everything ahead of time to ensure the best possible results.

  • Plastic drop cloths will be placed over all floors and furniture in the areas where painting will be performed.
  • Caulking will be applied to all cracks and gaps around window frames, door frames, crown-molding, and any other area in need of caulk when the trim is being painted.
  • Spot priming will be applied to all bar wood and all water stains on the surfaces to be painted.
  • Drywall spackle will be applied to all cracks and nail holes in the drywall prior to painting.
  • We ask our customers to remove all small or fragile objects, including furniture, pictures, and window treatments from rooms where painting will be performed.

Only after all of the prep work is completed will we pick up a brush or roller and begin the application process.  This ensures a quality result for you and your home.

Our paints are custom blended to ensure a 100% match to your color selection.  Want to match the teddy bear Grandma gave you?  We can do it.  If you provide an example of the color you are looking for, it will be matched exactly.

After applying paint to surfaces, comes the clean-up.  At Veteran’s Painting Plus, we believe the only evidence you should see of your new interior paint job is the wonderful colors left behind.  We thoroughly remove all evidence of our visit – except your remaining smile.

Preferred Products

Like most home improvement projects, a big part of the secret behind a well-done paint job is using quality materials.  Regardless of how talented our staff is, if cheap materials are used the job won’t stand up to the test of time or the challenges of a family.

We prefer to use quality manufacturers like Sherwin Williams, Benjamin Moore, and Duron.  These top of the line paints provide better coverage, last longer and keep their original colors longer than less expensive brands.
